Team KKK

Snopes: The leader of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, identified only as their "Imperial Wizard," told a reporter for Richmond, Virginia-area news outlet WWBT in a wide-ranging interview on 28 April 2016 that he (like many KKK members) supports Trump for President of the United States.

Voting for Trump doesn't necessarily make you a Neo-Nazi, a white supremacist or a member of the KKK.  But it most definitely puts you on the same team.

What About The Constitution?

Raw Story: “You don’t get to not vote on judges just because it is an election year and final year of someone’s presidency. So, that hypocrisy is as play as well,” Cuomo said. “You don’t have to like whom he nominates, but shouldn’t you go through the process?”

“No,” Hatch insisted. “I don’t think there is any real reason to do that.”

“What about the constitution?” the CNN host pressed.

There isn't any real reason to do that except as the CNN hosts points out, the constitution.  And it's not just that part of the constitution Republicans hate. Previously the Republican party has attacked the fourth amendment, the fifth amendment, the eighth amendment, the 14th amendment, the 16th amendment, the 17th amendment, Article VI, the Civil Rights Act, the establishment clause, posse comitatus and due process.  Aside from a dishonest reading of the 2nd amendment they pretty much hate the whole thing.

As a matter of fact there is not a basic American ideal or institution these neo-confederate traitors are not openly hostile to.  From government by the people, to democracy, to voting rights, to immigration, to due process, to the separation of church and state, to equality and on and on, they pretty much hate everything America is supposed to represent.  They really should get out of the country.

There's Never a General Sherman Around When You Need One

Think Progress: Public Policy Polling’s latest survey of South Carolina Republicans yields some shocking results for those who assume most of their fellow Americans don’t take issue with gays living in the country and believe it was a good thing the Confederacy was vanquished 150 years ago.

The poll, which involved 897 likely Republican primary voters who were contacted Sunday and Monday, revealed significant support for banning homosexuals from the country (20 percent in favor), shutting down U.S. mosques (29 percent), creating a national database of Muslims (47 percent), banning Islam (25 percent), and allowing South Carolina to hang the Confederate flag on the state capitol grounds in Columbia (54 percent).

In fact, more than a quarter of respondents (30 percent) said they wished the South had won the Civil War.

If you had any doubt the base of the Republican party was a neo-confederate, treasonous, anti-American, proto-terrorist, racist, piece of shit, this should take care of that.  If you're not a neo-confederate, treasonous, anti-American, proto-terrorist, racist, piece of shit, and you're thinking of voting GOP, you should consider the company you keep.

Who Needs Terrorists?

Rich Alaska:  With Tuesday's announcement that the FBI will join the expanding investigation, anyone who doubted the seriousness of the poisoning of the Flint, Michigan, water supply should now recognize their error. After all, until the administration of Republican Gov. Rick Snyder and his emergency manager in Flint knowingly jeopardized the health of thousands, the FBI feared al Qaeda terrorists would do the same thing.

The reality is the Republican party kills way more Americans than terrorists ever did.  And that's not even counting the actual Republican domestic terrorists that kill more Americans just by themselves than do Islamists (by the way, that number would be even higher but for the fact they're constantly catching these people before they actually blow people up.)

God Told Me I'm Not Crazy

Raw Story:  GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz decided to run for president based on divine calling, his father told a religious television station.

Pastor Rafael Cruz told the Dove TV that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’ decision resulted from 6 months of prayer, which culminated in a 2-hour session in which Cruz felt divine inspiration which directed him to enter the race, according to Right Wing Watch.

During the intense prayer session, Ted Cruz’ wife, Heidi, said “seek God’s face, not God’s hand,” the elder Cruz said. He believes this was divinely inspired as well.

Pretty much every Republican either believes this kind of crap or panders to to a base that does.

So first of all anybody who thinks God told them to do anything is a dangerous psychopath.  Second of all, unless you want a president who thinks God told them to nuke Iran or poison all the children in Flint, you had best not vote GOP.

Let Me Count The Ways

Headline: Amid Flint water crisis, President Obama forced to veto GOP attempt to gut the Clean Water Rule

Whether it's killing your husband in Michigan, your kids in Florida, your dad in Iraq, giving us all cancer or lead poisoning due to air pollution or contaminated water, working overtime to yank your health insurance or sending one of their flock to shoot up your local clinic, the GOP is harbinger of massive death to come on a wide variety of fronts.  As the headline clearly shows, the only thing that's slowing them down is a Democratic president. Best make sure that doesn't change.

Baby Killers

CNN Headline: Florida dumps hospital standards after gifts to GOP

From the link:  "And, after CNN's investigation, the state rushed to the hospital's defense.  Within days, Department of Health spokeswoman Tiffany Cowie told reporters that state data showed St. Mary's mortality rate wasn't nearly as high as CNN had found.  But Cowie didn't mention a crucial detail: The state data she referred to didn't take into account half of the babies' deaths."

Basically, Rick Scott's billionaire buddies in the corporate health-care-for-profit world felt the standards were too expensive.  So they gave a bunch of money to the GOP in Florida, the GOP got rid of the standards, and a bunch of kids died as a result.  These people will kill your kids to make a buck.
