Just days away from the implementation of new rules that will prevent insurers from denying coverage to children with pre-existing conditions, numerous major insurers have opted to end the sale of child only policies.
They should be forced to end the sale of all policies. These companies in no way serve the public good. They make massive profits and pay their executives robber baron compensation by taking in more money than they pay out in "health care." They do this primarily by unjustly and illegally denying coverage. And people die as a result.
Our health care dollars should go to our health care and not private jets, yachts and multiple mega-mansions for "heath care" company executives. These companies should either not be allowed to exist or if they do, the law should mandate they be heavily regulated and non-profit.
This blog exists to provide Democrats with clear, hard, concise branding of the political opposition. We invite you to use our messaging in your advertising, at the water cooler, in the press release, at the lectern, or just to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving (especially to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving). If you like it use it, and please, share it. Be brave. Be hard. Fight like your democracy depends on it America, because you can bet your ass it does.
There are two mega-corporations that own all the insurance companies here in the USA…(go to corp-watch dot com) State Farm is no different than Allstate in that when the guys in their jets at the top decide on a business strategy and rates…it is passed down to all. What is the difference if you take someone’s life with a gun or a pen?…If you take it with a pen, no matter how many you mass murder, you get a new Yacht. And it is the corrupt lobbying system that is now in place as to why they get away with murder.
ReplyDeleteLook at the mandatory auto insurance policy, how many time do people pay out of their own pockets so their rates won’t be raised or they are dropped, and the rates are ridicules even if one has a good record….it is money for nothing, just like they want it. If our government is going to pass such laws there should be a mandatory rates imposed for all of us…no shopping necessary. Otherwise, what we have now is legal extortion…A forced tax for the insurance corp’s
I lived during the times before the mandatory insurance and that system worked out just fine and negotiations were possible. One just paid a few dollars extra to cover the occasional uninsured motorist that was out there.
Another crowd that is affected by the mega-insurance corporations are the older work force over 50. They charge a business more to insure an older worker thus causing company’s to not hire or eliminate these workers. They only wish to insure people who will not make claims and have even taken it to the stage of eliminating people who MAY use their coverage. This is extremely disturbing to peoples who have given 25-30 years of their life to their trade and paid in without a claim, but when they may need it they have already been phased out….money for nothing!
They knew the problems with corporate monopolies from the creation of this country and the revolution was just as much against the East India Trading Corporation as it was against the King…years later when Rockefeller had a strangle hold on this country with his monopolies, our elected officials broke them up. Now a-days they just cut themselves back room deals with the corporate monopolies.
Lets not forget that our elected officials have the best insurance for themselves and their families that our money can buy…and everyday they lie, argue and tell us we are not worthy of having health insurance…
…Fire them ALL!!!
