Raw Story: Joe Miller, who had worked as a probation officer for nearly three years in Arizona, was fired in December after adding his name to a Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) letter that supported a California ballot initiative to decriminalize marijuana.
People who have a smoke in their own home are no more criminal than those that have a drink. Lawmakers (and probation officers) who want to decriminalize marijuana are not less moral than those who favor continued criminalization, they're far more so. In fact, those who favor continued criminalization are the real devils. They're at best huge hypocrites, and more often than not corrupt sleezebags working on behalf of the prison-industrial complex, the law enforcement industry, and all the various industries that make inferior, environmentally dangerous products that only exist because industrial hemp is illegal. They should be called out for who they are and what they do. Society suffers greatly at their hands.
