Think Progress: A former Bush White House official on Thursday made the case that Nazi Germany had adhered to the laws of war during World War II when defending the Bush administration’s decision to open the Guantanamo Bay prison for terror suspects.
There is so much wrong with this, we don't even know where to begin. First of all, it really doesn't do their movement any good to compare their actions to the Nazis. Second, the Nazis didn't follow the rules of war. They baked and gassed 6 million Jews, turned prisoners of war into slaves, and sent civilian populations of occupied countries to concentration camps. And last, Republicans need to stop praising, imitating, and promoting Nazis. Sadly, it seems they just can't help themselves.
