Cause, War

Headline: GOP calls for Eric Shinseki resignation

Why?  Because he's presiding over a system that is having trouble managing the 40,000 maimed and damaged Americans the Republican party created by lying and cheating to send them to Iraq?  Better to get rid of Republicans in government so they can't flood the VA with new customers by starting bullshit wars.

Darwin Is The Devil

Americablog: In the “HGTV is thanking their lucky stars” category, religious right wondertwins Jason and David Benham, sons of anti-abortion firebrand Flip Benham, wrote on their blog earlier this month that evolution is “Satan’s toehold” in America’s schools.

Ok, look, we know conservatives can’t stand science, but when you start calling it Satan’s work you need to be immediately and completely removed from the world of people anybody takes seriously (and also, you should probably get back on your medications.)

Projection

Jody Hice, pastor, talk radio host, and one of the Republicans in a runoff to replace Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA), argued that the gay community had a secret plan to attract and sodomize children.

It’s not the gay community.  The Republican Party has been fucking average Americans of all ages for 35 years.  It’s no secret.

As for Mr Hice, he’s not the only one in the conservative movement who spends his time thinking about sodomizing children.  Sadly, it's rather common in those circles.

Let Them Eat... Nothing

.Raw Story: In a new draft of the House GOP Agriculture bill, Republicans have sought to save money by slashing summertime food aid to inner city children while continuing to assist children living in rural poverty.

Talking Points Memo pointed to a passage in a Politico piece about the bill that said, “(I)n a surprising twist, the bill language specifies that only rural areas are to benefit in the future from funding requested by the administration this year” in “a modest summer demonstration program to help children from low-income households — both urban and rural — during those months when school meals are not available.”

The title of the piece is "House Republican Move To Slash Summer Food Aid To Urban Kids But Can’t Explain Why."  As always, we’re here to help.  The reason why is because urban kids are usually not white and the Republican party is racist at its base.  They simply don't give a rip about inner city kids.

Owning The Vote

When he was on the campaign trail in 2012, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) suggested that only property owners should be allowed to vote.

Yoho made the suggestion when he was running for Congress. The comments were flagged by Right Wing Watch on Tuesday.

"I’ve had some radical ideas about voting and it’s probably not a good time to tell them, but you used to have to be a property owner to vote," Yoho said at a speaking event at the Berean Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida. The crowd responded with applause.

Well, at least he didn’t say only slave owners should be able to vote.  But either way, this is just another giant pile of crap on top of the mountain of evidence that makes it disturbingly clear the Republican party simply can't stand democracy.  Therefore, it’s beyond dangerous to let them serve in one.

Responsibility

Raw Story: During a Sunday interview on Fox News, host Chris Wallace asked Cheney if Clinton “did anything wrong,” and if she should be “held responsible for the events surrounding that attack.”

Why, did she get a memo titled, “Bin Ladin determined to attack Benghazi?”  Did she preside over the worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States?  Did she lie and cheat to start a horribly costly and counter productive war in Iraq?  No, that was all Dick Cheney.

Actually, it’s the Republicans that cut funds for diplomatic security before the Benghazi attack.   If anybody should be held accountable it’s them.

As for Cheney, he should just shut his mouth and be thankful he’s not spending the rest of his life locked up in the Hague.
