Keep'n em Stupid

Speaking at a forum for the right-wing Steamboat Institute last week, Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle effectively declared that public schools should cease to exist. Early in her speech, Angle reiterated her belief that America should abolish the federal Department of Education.

Whether vouchers, attacking science, or abolishing the Department of Education, a cornerstone of Republican party public policy has been to de-fund education. We figure the dumber people are the easier it is for the GOP to get folks to forget about economic meltdown, massive oil spills, and fraudulent wars. That, and well educated, well informed people don't generally vote against their own best interest.

  1. One can tell this is their strategy as to the candidates they choose…from the dumb as a stump, guy they would love to have a beer with… “Bush”, to the bimbo they’d like to screw after that beer, who has the IQ of a jar of Vaseline… Palin

  2. I lived next door to one of these die-hard repug’s at one time and I can tell you that they are hardheaded hypocrites. He lacked logic and critical thinking, never read a book other than a porn magazine, believed all the information spoon-fed to him from the party, and was impossible to debate with as he would not follow-up with any research to prove a point in the debate…it was the truth because he said so.
He also claimed to be a Christian but used alcohol, pot, and crystal meth, this was ok according to him because "he could handle it", but thought people that used drugs he didn’t like should be thrown in jail. One day he asked me to fix his puter as it was acting up and after I removed the spyware from the lesbian porn sites he was visiting it worked fine…I found this hilarious, as he is vocally anti-gay.

I guess I drew the line when if he needed help I was a good neighbor, but if I needed help he wanted to charge me, as it was good business.

Some would say this was just a flawed personality, but with my travels through life and career, I seem to run into more of these personalities from my encounters with Christians and repug’s. I’m not one to generalize but there seems to be a pattern of “do as I say, not as I do” with them
