The title of this graph is Wall Street Contributions by Party. The story of this graph is: GOP policy destroys economy. Democrats gain power. Wall Street gives more to the party in power. Democrats try to use their power to regulate Wall Street and fix the regulatory defect in GOP policy that contributed to the destruction of the economy. Wall Street gives all their money to the GOP. GOP goes to the mat to try and stop the Democrats from regulating Wall Street. Great for the GOP. Terrible for the country.
This blog exists to provide Democrats with clear, hard, concise branding of the political opposition. We invite you to use our messaging in your advertising, at the water cooler, in the press release, at the lectern, or just to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving (especially to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving). If you like it use it, and please, share it. Be brave. Be hard. Fight like your democracy depends on it America, because you can bet your ass it does.

Campaign finance reform is what is needed but that will never happen because the people who make the rules are all on the take themselves…vote out the incumbent, the only thing they will understand is when they lose their jobs, though they will hurt less than the rest of us by doing this, it is the next group that will be less willing to accept bribes.
ReplyDeleteHey Video Guy,
ReplyDeleteHow about public financing? That would fix it pretty quick. Maybe try to start by putting such things on the ballot as initiatives in places like California to get ball rolling?
Not only that Hopper, the airwaves are suppose to belong to all of us but a select few have monopoly’s on them. They make so much $$$ on campaign advertising that they spread misinformation about campaign finance reform. I think the networks should provide limited free time to legitimate candidates for debates, as a public service. And no more paid ads what so ever for any candidate by anyone.
ReplyDeleteYou will eliminate the trash, character assassination ads, the amount any special interest can provide, and best of all…actual debates about real issues and problems. Also, one will not have to be a spoiled rich kid (Bush) to have a chance to be elected, increasing the opinions and needs of the rest of us.
