GREGORY: You think we need less financial regulation, rather than more?So the GOP waters down Dodd-Frank to limit its effectiveness and then they use their own successful effort to thwart re-regulation to try and make a case for more de-regulation. Let's be clear: Republican deregulation caused the financial meltdown we've been suffering under since the end of the Bush administration. So not only are they a clear and present danger to the stability of the financial system, but by blaming a law that they themselves made ineffective, they've shown themselves to be dishonest scumbags in the process.
PRIEBUS: I think we need less. I mean, the fact of the matter is, Dodd-Frank didn’t work. [...]
GREGORY: So, you’re satisfied with the way Wall Street operates, with the kinds of bets that were taken by JPMorgan Chase that led to this kind of loss. You don’t think that Washington regulators can remedy that?
PRIEBUS: Certainly Dodd-Frank didn’t remedy it.
