The Republican candidate for President Obama's old Senate seat, Mark Kirk, has admitted to inaccurately claiming he received the U.S. Navy's Intelligence Officer of the Year award for his service during NATO's conflict with Serbia in the late 1990s.
So it appears both Democrats and Republicans, for some stupid reason like to lie about their war record. The difference voters need to consider is Republicans actually lie to send the country to war, which is pretty much the worst crime possible.
Well if they would say that Anonymous that would mean they would loose their funding from the Military Industrial Complex.
ReplyDeleteWhen the hell will people speak up about campaign financing and call it what it is…a bribe! And as long as these politicians are allowed to keep what they don’t spend during their campaign this practice will never change…this is one reason they spend so much time stumping for contributions as apposed to doing the real work they were elected for.
Hey VG
ReplyDeleteThe time they spend fund raising is a problem. What so many of them give back in return is the bigger problem. Public financing of elections along with heavy restrictions on political advertising would end all that but anybody who goes to the mat for that can't raise money. Maybe we could start a "Public Financing of Campaigns party" with the only party plank that if you take money out of politics you'll solve all the other problems. But the money for the party and it's candidates would have to come from the American people. It would be a fantastic investment on their part but even so they probably wouldn't support it with their wallet. They might though. If you can get them to believe they'll suffer greatly if they don't
