Oh (big) Brother

Tom Corbett, current Attorney General of the state of Pennsylvania and Republican gubernatorial candidate, has subpoenaed Twitter to to provide “any and all subscriber information" on two men who have been anonymously criticizing the Attorney General on the popular micro-sharing service. The information that Twitter is ordered to provide includes “name, address, contact information, creation date, creation Internet Protocol address and any and all log in Internet Protocol address”.

So he's using the state law enforcement mechanism to go after random people who were criticizing him on twitter. That's an illegal abuse of power and part of a continuing trend among Republican elected officials. These people get elected with empty platitudes about freedom and then set about taking it away.
