History is a Hunter.

House Republicans bashed their Democratic colleagues Wednesday morning for foot-dragging on the annual budget resolution, accusing the majority of failing the American people by not laying out a fiscally responsible way to govern.

Democrats are fiscally responsible, Republicans are not. That is history's jugement and it's beyond debate. So carry these charts around with you if you have to (especially if you're about to go on CNN or MSNBC), but don't let anybody ever get away with saying otherwise.

  1. Oh, a good economic policy doesn't kick in until the next party change. That's why the term after the Republicans are in office is the term that sees the huge economic growth. Don't you know?

  2. That's right. Reagan's 1981 tax cut didn't actually kick in until 1997.
