Top-ranking officials in the GOP said today that it didn't matter that the Obama Department of Justice was getting information from Faisal Shahzad, the now-detained Pakistani-born American citizen accused of trying to car bomb Times Square. The fact that the administration chose to read Miranda rights to the suspect shows a national security policy steeped in naivety.
And they know what about national security? We've only had two major terrorists attacks on US soil. One was on the Republicans watch and the other one was actually carried out by a Republican. As for their hostility toward due process, seeing as how this country was not built on the foundation of the World Trade Center, we'll do well to stick with the principals on which it was. Those that seek to abandon them are a greater threat to our republic than the Taliban or Al Qaeda could ever be.
They luv themselves some 2nd Amendment though...
