Co-opted From Themselves

On his Fox News show yesterday Glenn Beck claimed the civil rights movement "has been co-opted by progressives."

Co-opted from who? It damn sure wasn't co-opted from conservatives. They hate that stuff. The Civil Rights Act is a piece of progressive legislation if there ever was one, and on issues of race minorities are progressive as anybody. We're not sure what Beck is talking about.
