Small Government

Mississippi Haley Barbour has announced that oil has hit the shores of Mississippi. In a statement sent out late Sunday night, Mr. Barbour acknowledged that oil has begun washing up on the shore of Mississippi. “The amount of oil moving into Mississippi waters has greatly increased in the last several days,” and “We continue to press the Federal Unified Command and BP to increase the amount of resources available to attack the oil...."

Boss Hog needs to speak to his own party about that. Not only is his team currently doing all they can to prevent BP from being held accountable but for three decades Republicans have made it their mission to destroy any government agency capable of holding industry to account, much less clean up their messes. When taken with their constant efforts to defeat all regulatory and environmental laws, work against clean energy, and drill baby drill, it's painfully clear Barbour's political philosophy is responsible for this disaster. So unless he's ready to switch parties and beg forgiveness he really should just shut up.
