A federal judge sitting in Louisiana struck down the Obama Administration's six-month moratorium on new deep water drilling, despite the unfolding disaster in the Gulf of Mexico caused by BP's Deepwater Horizon drilling operation. Judge Martin Feldman, nominated for the federal bench by Ronald Reagan in 1983, has extensive investments in oil and gas, including in Transocean Limited, the company that owned the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig.
Republican big oil corruption doesn't end in congress or at the doorstep of Bobby Jindal and Haley Barbour's governor's mansions. Since ruining one ocean doesn't appear enough for those who profit financially and politically from selling out the country to big oil we suggest removing them from public office before they ruin another one. We confer the public trust upon such people at our peril.
