In an interview on MSNBC this morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi mentioned that the root of the financial crisis lies in the policies of the Bush administration. So, reporter Chuck Todd asked whether voters would tire of hearing Pelosi and her party blame today's problems on the last president. "When do you feel like that runs out with the public?" Todd asked. "It runs out when the problems go away," Pelosi said.
The left is thrilled with this answer. The comeback is good but the original premise is horrible. Democrats better get this straight and quick. Bush was nothing. AND he's not running for anything. He was an empty vessel filled with standard Republican party public policy. Unless the Democrats want to be thrown out of power in November they had best start scaring people to death with what Republican party public will do to them. If the GOP takes over in November they will impeach Obama, gut the bill of rights, start bullshit wars, fill the oceans with oil, and let their robber baron cronies loot the financial system and crash the economy.
