One Nation United Under Oil

Yesterday, Chevron discovered a leaking pipeline that was spewing 50 gallons of crude oil per minute into Red Butte Creek in Salt Lake City, UT. By the time crews capped the leak, more than 21,000 gallons of oil had spilled out, "coating geese and ducks" and closing the city’s largest park.

So last week Sarah Palin had to lie and say she only meant drill baby drill on land. Perhaps this week she'll say she only meant drill on the moon. In fact, this country would be a lot better off if she and her fellow drill baby drill Republicans immediately departed to do exactly that.

  1. From the link: Gov. Gary Herbert (R) put out a statement calling the spill a “devastating situation.” This disaster comes just four days after the governor put out his energy plan, which called for more oil production in Utah.

  2. The typical Republican/Conservative/Tea Potty response will be that an Environmental Nazi somehow managed to sabotage the well, thus creating the spill! Unfortunately, the people of Utah will believe it!
